Mini-update For Monday!

“This is a partial post because part of the team spent the day in Craiova on Monday. There are seven of us in Craiova including: Jeremy S., Thorsen L, Hannah C., Sidney M., Caden T., Mallory H., and myself. We’re spending the night here, so I’ll have updates from the other teams tomorrow! In Craiova, Pastor Raul took Caden, Sidney, Mallory, Hannah, and Thorsen to the prison to speak to juveniles about Mother’s Day (celebrated on March 8th in Romania). No cameras were allowed so we don’t have pictures but everyone said it was two hours well spent! Songs and preaching by Caden, testimonies by Thorsen and Hannah, and small groups led by Sidney, Mallory, and others! An experience of sharing God’s love and listening to stories of broken lives in need of healing. Hannah and Thorsen also had the opportunity to go on some home visits and pray for people of Craiova. Jeremy and I had the privilege of speaking to 25 college students about the purpose of life. University of Craiova students who are studying English meet at the library every Monday to work on English with one of the missionaries in Craiova. We spent 2 1/2 hours both watching a video on intelligent design, and then discussing values, meaning, purpose, and world views. Fascinating! This evening we’re staying at  at a mission house in the city and will await the arrival of the rest of the team. They’ll be here tomorrow (Tuesday) morning at which time we’ll spend the day passing out New Testaments to the residents of this wonderful city!
